I Dream of a Ranch in Colorado...

I dream of a ranch in Colorado with it's blue skies, white clouds & red roof.
A sanctuary from over stimulation & a respite for the weary traveler looking for peace of mind.

Happy occupants greet you at the gate, bringing a smile to your face & a sense of belonging.

This is a place where the animals out number the people &
the peoples purpose is to take care of the animals...
a perfect kind of synergy.

With a vineyard in the making, young grapes grow in tidy little rows...

waiting to be picked, ripe & full of color,

sweet & juicy, ready to be eaten straight off the vine.

The sound of falling water provides the background music,
interrupted now & then by a wind chime, taken by the wind.

A hummingbird's nest is tenderly tucked into the high grasses next to a stream

& Llama Love is EVERYWHERE you look!

In the evening we walk the ranch, beer in hand, watching the changing color,

the shadows & light dancing on all we can see as I take out my camera & shoot.

It seems no matter where I go, it's the skies that call my name...

there is nothing in the world that can compare to a western sky!

My sister's dream is my dream too now, she has created something magical,
something wondrous, something to be so very proud of & I am...
so very Proud of HER!
Thank you Sweet Girl, for sharing your dream with me.
I can see it so clear now, all your planning, all your hard work,
everything you've done to create this paradise.
I Dream of a Ranch in Colorado
& can't wait to get back there!

XOXO

I love Colorado. But my heart will always be in Kansas.

I'm so glad you got this chance to visit your sister and see her dream played out in person.

Susie,
It looks like you had a wonderful time! The vineyard is so pretty with the fruit hanging with all that color. As for the llama's... no thank you!

Your skies were sooooooooooo pretty. Like you, I'm a sucker for a good sunset. The other day when I was laying on the roof of the deck boat in the middle of the lake I thought "Susie would like these clouds". We're down in Marble Falls for the weekend enjoying the Colorado River. Hope there's a pretty sunset tonight. Did you know I was born in Denver? Have tons of family still there. HUGS!
