Junkin Gypsy Style in Round Top, Texas...Ohhh Yeahhhh!

Howdy Y'all!!!!

I finally made it to heaven...Welcome to Round Top!

A tiny little town with a population of 77 in the hill country of southern Texas,

Round Top is my idea of what heaven should be.

It'll have wide open fields & gingerbread houses,

chippy white paint & rusty old horse trailers,

the bluest skies you ever have seen...

there will be longhorn steer & cows that look like oreos,

pie with blue bell ice cream & most certainly...

there will be GYPSY'S,

Junkin Gypsy's, the very BESTEST kind!

They are ALWAYS my very 1st stop when I step into town, but this being opening day & all,

 I was in for a treat cuz the WHOLE Gypsy Family was there to greet me.

Mama & Daddy Gypsy were helping set up the booth,

Gorgeous sister Gypsy's, Miss Amie & Miss Jolie, were adding their last minute touches

& the 2 tiniest Gypsy's were showing me some of there newly acquired Gyspy skills!!

One was mastering his paddle ball & had gotten up to hittin it 15 times...

& the other little one was showing me her FABULOUS Gypsy handbag,

I mean really, does it get any better then that??   ;)

Well, maybe it does, cuz then there's the STUFF!!!

GOOD STUFF!!!

These gals know how to throw a party kinda STUFF!!

It took everything I had not to throw myself into their luscious bed...

I was hot {as usual}, sweaty {what's new} & probably a little stinky {sorry}, but their linens looked soooo yummmmy...it really was a tough call!

Who knew skelenton's could look so awesome?

And what's with the deer havin more bling then me???   ;o

Only in TEXAS!   ;)

I ADORED their new line of nubby linen's, along with the "Oh Poop" baby picture of course!

Now that's my idea of BLING, BABY!

The ROYAL Mounted Police... lol.

Peacock Feather's & a PINK pay phone?? Coool!!

My on going joke..."I Work for Tee's"! {I really do girls}

And I wouldn't mind workin for BOOTS either!!! yummmmmmyyyyy

Round Top, Here I Come Again!!!

I don't know if the great state of Texas is ready for me again or not....

but I know, I sure am ready for TEXAS!!

That's right y'all, vintagesusie is headed to the Spring Antique Festival in Round Top & looking to find some of her FAVORITEST things on this earth.

I'll be headin on over to the bestest booth in town first...does it look familiar??

That's right, it's the home of 'The Junk Gypsy's', conveyor's of all things filled with

JUNKY GOODNESS!

I gotta get me some tee's & some hat's & some junk & some...

Junky Love! {that sound's nasty!}

Then, I'll search out my favoritest bead & vintage charm booth...

have me some of Bud's world famous PIE...

& maybe get me a little pinch of this.

{how dare y'all, I was talkin about the horse...get your minds outta the gutter, lol}

I'll be hangin with some of the 'Bestest Bloggie Buds' in Texas...

Miss Charlene of 'My Heart's Ease' bloggie fame & Miss Diane Cook of 'rosa & josie's', jewelry designer & teacher extraordinaire, along with some of there girlfriends flyin in from every which way...

it sounds so incredibly awesome, I'm gettin excited just thinkin about it!

{she was sellin limes, isn't that odd...or were we drinkin Corona's, I can't remember}

Of course on Sunday, March 27th, we'll all be going over to Miss Teresa's of 'Garden Vintage Antique's' for her Blog Party...I wouldn't miss that for the world!

And if I'm really lucky, there will be a little...

'Trash Talk' & Miss Debbie & Cat Daddy love! {meoww}

There will be lookin for that SPECIAL can't live without it, something...

Warrenton in all it's glory!

Greetings Sweet Hearts!!!

My adventure has been as big as the great state of TEXAS, but by yesterday it was time to just kick back & enjoy the show! Nothin CRAZY happened, thank the Lord, as I needed a break & just wanted to take in Warrenton in all it's JUNKY GLORY!!

I LOVE me some good ole rusty mailboxes...

& I'll tell you what...our traffic cops sure don't look like this!!

Can I say I was DIGGIN the guns & the saddle! He was tellin me to MOVE ON, but I told him to HOLD ON, I just had to get some more PICTURES OF HIM & he gave me a tiny little grin...ain't he cute?

I still haven't gotten over to this booth, but I want some of her white, flowing cotton. It looks soooo cooool! {as in not hot, lol}

Fall in Warrenton, Texas...farm equipment & pumpkins, LOVE IT!

The line for the cupcakes is longer then the line for the port-a-potty, but today I'm gettin me one...yummmmy!

I ended my day yesterday at Zapp Hall lookin for the fabulous Miss Theresa from Garden Antiques Vintage bloggy fame.

& look who I found sittin in her booth...the infamous & divine Miss Debbie & Cat Daddy from Trash Talking! They are a HOOT & A HALF & I adored them both right off the bat!

And Sweet as Pie Miss Theresa was truly the hostess with the mostest. She had the greatest fan known to man & gave me an iced tea & the cutest little red vintage chair to sit on & I didn't leave until she was ready to roll up shop! Tonight she's having a blog party & I can't wait to go say "Hi Y'all" to all my bloggy buddies!

Oh & by the way...did I tell ya she had the most wonderful junk in her booth!

Here in Texas, I've seen some glorious things...but do you know what I'm going to miss the most when I have to go back to Cali? Yes the friends I've made, yes the gingerbread houses, yes the amazing array of antiques. But what I'm going to miss the very most is...

THE CLOUDS!!!

The skies of Texas are like no other!

Ever changing.

Always amazing.
