{blog party Round Top, spring 2011}

Do y'all know who the Junk Gypsy's are???
Amie, Jolie & Mama Gypsy are just about the cutest, sweetest,
coolest 'Purveyors of Junk' on the planet & I ADORE them!!!

{photo by sweet friend Amy Boland, Jolie Gypsy & me, 2011}

They run their 'World O Junk' out of one of my favoritest places,
Round Top, Texas, where the best Antique Festival takes
place twice a year in the spring & the fall & their booth
is ALWAYS a highlight of the event.

They have created their 'JUNKY STYLIN' for some awesome venues,
like the 'Artist's Lounge Tent' for a 3 day music Festival in Austin, Texas
featuring 'The Eagle's' as the headliners {Oh YEA Baby}...

to Miranda Lambert & Blake Shelton's Wedding Reception.
These girls create MAGIC & leave behind a touch of
FAIRY DUST & rusty nails, everywhere they go.

Soooooooo, tomorrow night...
May 5th, Cinco De Mayo, the 'Amazing Junk Gypsy's' take FLIGHT & SOAR
into living rooms, family rooms, doublewides & haciendas everywhere
on HGTV to share their JUNKY SPIRIT & LOVE!!!

I can't wait to see them again on my big screen, here in my own home town.
I can't wait to hear their Texas Twang & see what kind of MAGIC
they'll create this time. I can't wait to sit back & watch, while
the world falls in love with theses small town girls
& their Big Time Talent!!!

I hope y'all can tune into HGTV tomorrow night & see what all the fuss is about.
These girls FLY so high already, I can't imagine where they might go given WINGS!
I can't wait to see them...SOAR!!!!

A junk gypsy is a feeling of wanderlust deep down in your soul…

It is believing in the JOURNEY. . .
and delighting in every character, creature, and experience that paves the way.

A junk gypsy takes a roadtrip just to let her hair blow in the wind . . .
and sees more than the road ahead, she sees the world at her fingertips.

A junk gypsy lives for the Wild Blue Yonder and all the wonders it holds in store.
And believes that the road goes onforever, and the party never ends…

So whether you are a working womana certified COUNTRY girl,
a stay-at-home SOCCER mom, or a ROWDY rockstar @ heart . . .
we know you feel that gypsy spirit way down deep so put on those ROSE-COLORED
glasses and take a soul vacation on our magic carpet ride!

Rebel Road Sistas, howl at the moon and dance barefoot through the WILD OATS!
Turn up the rock n’ roll and feed your soul! SLOW DOWN and watch the world unfold around you!
LAUGH...LOVE...LIVE MORE!!!

Junkin Gypsy Style in Round Top, Texas...Ohhh Yeahhhh!

Howdy Y'all!!!!
I finally made it to heaven...Welcome to Round Top!
A tiny little town with a population of 77 in the hill country of southern Texas,
Round Top is my idea of what heaven should be.

It'll have wide open fields & gingerbread houses,
chippy white paint & rusty old horse trailers,
the bluest skies you ever have seen...
there will be longhorn steer & cows that look like oreos,
pie with blue bell ice cream & most certainly...
there will be GYPSY'S,
Junkin Gypsy's, the very BESTEST kind!

They are ALWAYS my very 1st stop when I step into town, but this being opening day & all,
I was in for a treat cuz the WHOLE Gypsy Family was there to greet me.
Mama & Daddy Gypsy were helping set up the booth,
Gorgeous sister Gypsy's, Miss Amie & Miss Jolie, were adding their last minute touches
& the 2 tiniest Gypsy's were showing me some of there newly acquired Gyspy skills!!
One was mastering his paddle ball & had gotten up to hittin it 15 times...
& the other little one was showing me her FABULOUS Gypsy handbag,
I mean really, does it get any better then that??   ;)

Well, maybe it does, cuz then there's the STUFF!!!

GOOD STUFF!!!

These gals know how to throw a party kinda STUFF!!

It took everything I had not to throw myself into their luscious bed...

I was hot {as usual}, sweaty {what's new} & probably a little stinky {sorry}, but their linens looked soooo yummmmy...it really was a tough call!

Who knew skelenton's could look so awesome?

And what's with the deer havin more bling then me???   ;o
Only in TEXAS!   ;)

I ADORED their new line of nubby linen's, along with the "Oh Poop" baby picture of course!

Now that's my idea of BLING, BABY!

The ROYAL Mounted Police... lol.

Peacock Feather's & a PINK pay phone?? Coool!!

My on going joke..."I Work for Tee's"! {I really do girls}

And I wouldn't mind workin for BOOTS either!!! yummmmmmyyyyy

Fabulousity is just everywhere you look...

I mean SERIOUSLY Friends...

I REALLY, REALLY,
WISH YOU WERE HERE!  ;)
Stay tuned Sweet Hearts, there's soooo much more to come....

home again means Disneyland!

Happy Hump Day Sweeties...
Well, my Texas adventure is over, but my real life adventure is just beginning! I'm in the mist of closing out the shop, which will lead me to yet another fork in my road called life.

But, as seems to be a pattern in my life, along every path comes unexpected detours. My beautiful daughter Courtney was given 3 free passes to Disneyland & California Adventure for last Sunday, which she joyously asked me to share in with her & Kai. Now having just gotten back from my trek & knowing I needed to sell some merchandise...I told her I should probably not go & work instead. She responded, "What?? Mom, free passes to Disneyland, have you lost your mind?"

Anyone who knows me knows what a ridculous answer I had given her. I would NEVER pass up a chance ANYTIME to go to Disneyland, it's my Home Away From Home...Courtney grew up there!

Awakening from my self induced stupor I shouted out, "OMG, what am I thinkin, of course I want to go with you to Disneyland!" I don't care if I have to pack everything up & just bring it home...do you know how much a hopper ticket to Disneyland costs these days?? You don't want to know! Let's just say I could probably buy 2 Magnolia Pearl tops with that money.

So last Sunday, I was at the Happiest Place on Earth with my daughter & grandson! {you can read about why Disneyland means so much to me here , from an earilier post}

The sun was shining, the sky was blue & it couldn't have been a better day to enjoy the park! Kai got to see soooo many of his favorite Disney characters.

And the best part was that it was all decked out for Halloween & they turn the Haunted Mansion into The Nightmare Before Christmas, which we all just LOVE!!!

Here's Jack & Sally with Courtney & Kai...

Oh yeah...I almost forgot. Another perk she got with these tickets, is 4 front of the line passes for each of us. So we could pick the 4 most crowded rides, use our pass & go straight to the front of the line...that ROCKS PEOPLE!!!

We used them on Space Mountain & The Haunted Mansion In Disneyland...

& Soarin Over California & The Tower of Terror in California Adventure.
{ps: check out the hat & tank & ring I wore, The Junk Gypsy's were represented by Moi}

Here's Kai with his Jack Sparrow sword which he loved! It's soooo easy to  please a kid, a $6.95 Jack Sparrow sword & it was like GOLD to him, you gotta love it.

Mommy & Kai...

Monga & Kai...

Woody & Kai! :)

Because we are such a Disneyland family, if having to choose between Disneyland or California Adventure, the Big D will always win. Courtney had never been before, I had been once when my friend took me for my birthday & Kai had been with his Daddy a few years back. When spending that kind of money, you just have to know you are going to have the most amazing time & I just don't get that at the other park.

I do adore the Soarin Over California ride...you sit in what looks like a row full of swings & once safely secured, you start to fly up into a movie of Yosemite, the ocean, San Francisco, orange groves that you can smell the sweet aroma of their blossoms. Totally cooooool...

Kai had fun looking at some of the Cars movie props & went on a couple fun little rides & then he & Mommy braved the Tower of Terror, which I was too ascared to go on so I waited out front for them to finish. They both really liked that ride...but our overall consenses was that if we had paid full price to get in, we would have been really disappointed.

Moral of the story...
Stick to the CLASSIC'S & you'll never be disappointed!!!
Happy Halloween month friends & I hope you enjoyed our little excursion to The Happiest Place on Earth.
I never leave empty hearted, my memory banks go so far back with this one...everytime I go it's like
COMING HOME! :)
